What is Infertility?

The problem of infertility, which can be caused by men and women, is a disorder that can be treated today.  Although couples who want to have a baby and are sexually active do not apply birth control method, the condition that pregnancy does not occur within 6 months or 1 year periods is called infertility. It is a clinical health problem of both male and female origin, which is widely seen in the world. If infertility problems occur, both partners are evaluated within the scope of treatment.

Causes of Infertility in Women

One of the most obvious causes of infertility in women is that the tubes are blocked. It is these tubes that make up the ovarian canal of women. Causes of Infertility in Men

We can list the most obvious causes of infertility in men as follows.  Infectious diseases, childhood cancer and sexually transmitted diseases have a great impact on infertility. At the same time, environmental and structural factors are among the most important causes of infertility. There are many other factors that cause infertility. These factors are;

  • Failure to produce sperm cells
  • Low sperm count and movement
  • Sexual dysfunctions such as erection and premature ejaculation
  • Testosterone deficiency
  • Genetic diseases
  • Hormonal disorders
  • Diabetes
  • Excessive smoking, alcohol and caffeine use
  • Factors such as the expansion of the vessels in the testicle.

Drug Treatment

Pregnancy (fertility) drugs can be used in problems caused by female-induced ovulation disorder of infertility. With the help of such drugs, ovulation irregularity can be prevented and it is seen that there is a significant increase in the number of eggs.

Vaccination Method

When infertility is diagnosed, the cause of which cannot be determined, this treatment method is applied. In the examinations performed, a finding that will cause infertility cannot be determined exactly. In the method of vaccination treatment, the process proceeds as follows; During the ovulation period, when fertility is the highest, the man's most mobile sperm is placed in the uterus so that he can fertilize the egg. At the same time, this method gives results in couples who have sexual problems such as premature ejaculation, erection, vaginismus.

IVF Treatment

IVF treatment is a treatment process that allows the eggs taken from the woman and the sperm taken from the man to be fertilized in the laboratory environment. The pregnancy that occurs after the fertilized embryo is placed in the woman's uterus is no different from the pregnancies that occur naturally. The only difference is that the embryo is not formed in the uterus, but in the laboratory environment and is placed back into the mother's womb. We can call this treatment process a method that helps reproduction.

Varicocele Surgery with Microsurgery

Varicocele is cited as one of the most common causes of male infertility worldwide. This problem is seen in approximately 40 percent of male patients who cannot have children due to infertility. Varicocele can lower the testosterone hormone and cause testicle sizes to decrease. It can also cause swelling, swelling and pain in the testicular area. Varicocele is a treatable disease. With varicocele surgery performed with microsurgery technique, the person's sperm production can return to normal and get rid of these problems.
